The Friends of Rickwood, in partnership with the Magnolia Atlanta SABR Chapter, are pleased to announce the 11th annual Southern Association Conference, to be held in Atlanta, on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

We are extremely pleased to have the Magnolia SABR chapter assisting with organizing and hosting the upcoming Conference, and we are most appreciative of their support.  We are also very happy to have the Ty Cobb Museum involved in this year’s Conference, and thank them for their support.

The March 1 Conference will focus primarily on Atlanta’s rich baseball history, including its storied tenure in the Southern Association, and will be held at the Doubletree Atlanta Northlake Hotel, located at 4156 LaVista Road, Atlanta, GA  30084.   The Doubletree Northlake will also serve as the host hotel location.   Additional details concerning the hotel location and rates, including contact information, are contained in the Conference letter.

This year’s Conference fee of $40 includes a light breakfast and full lunch.  We have 8 speakers confirmed, including Buck Riddle, former Atlanta Crackers team member.    We also have a Friday evening social event planned, to be held in Marlow’s Tavern, also located at the Doubletree Northlake.
