Mr. Bob Scranton, Longtime Rickwood Man, Passes Away
The Friends are saddened deeply to learn of the passing of Mr. John Robert “Bob” Scranton, age 90. Bob began his career with the Barons in the 1940’s, and continued in various roles, including becoming part of the ownership group responsible for bringing the Barons back to Rickwood in the 1980’s. After his tenure with the Barons ended, he remained a dedicated friend of the ballpark, including his involvement with the Friends organization.
Bob will be missed greatly by all of us.
