Bobby Bragan, “Mr. Baseball,” Passes Away

The Friends of Rickwood and the entire baseball community are saddened deeply by the death last week of Mr. Bobby Bragan, age 92.

Mr. Bragan began his professional baseball career in 1937, and in 2005, as the skipper of the Fort Worth Cats, was recognized as the oldest manager of a professional baseball game.

Mr. Bragan, a Birmingham native and Rickwood veteran, remained to the end a true ambassador of the game.
