Anthony Malinosky: Oldest Living Former Major Leaguer is Rickwood Veteran

Tony Malinosky, who is recognized as the oldest living ex-Major Leaguer, celebrated his 100th birthday on October 5, 2009.  Mr. Malinosky, who played one season with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1937, also played 2 years in the Southern Association.

In 1934, Mr. Malinosky had 489 at-bats with the Little Rock Travelers, for a .262 average, and in 1935, with the Birmingham Barons, had 462 at-bats and ended the season at .294.
