Joe Drake Passes Away
The Friends of Rickwood, and the Birmingham baseball community, are saddened deeply by the death of our friend, Joe Drake, long-time Birmingham Baron Director of Ticket Sales. Joe began his career at Rickwood Field in 1953, and was inducted into the Barons Hall of Fame in 2007, at the 12th annual Rickwood Classic.
Joe was a great friend, fan of the game, and true Birmingham baseball institution, and will be missed dearly. Take care, old friend.
